Mission Statement
Academic Planning & Budgets is responsible for the
planning and direction of programs of institutional research, analytical
studies, marketing research, certain management information systems,
program assessment and evaluation, and the student evaluation of teaching
effectiveness program. Listed below are the major functions of Academic Planning & Budgets:
- Coordinate strategic planning for the University.
- Manage fiscal resources for Academic Affairs Division.
- Collect, analyze, interpret, and report institutional data.
- Develop and implement resource allocation plans.
- Develop academic calendars and schedules.
- Reports census enrollment and academic planning data to the Chancellor's
- Office and other external agencies.
- Provide census enrollment reports for the campus community.
- Conduct marketing research to support campus promotional activities
and student recruiting.
- Provide information for campus-wide self-studies, including the Annual
Statistical Abstract.
- Serve as a technical resource on research methodology to faculty and
administrators.
- Provide University statistics requested by faculty, administrators,
staff, external agencies, and the community at-large.
- Manage the Student Opinion of Teaching Effectiveness Program (SOTE &
SOLATE).
